SUBJ: 2013 USCG DEERS/RAPIDS SITE OF THE YEAR
1. It is my distinct pleasure to announce Sector Charleston as the 2013 Coast Guard Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS)/Real-time Automated Personnel Identification System (RAPIDS) Site of the Year. Each Coast Guard site was evaluated on the following criteria:
A. Common Access Card (CAC) failure rate.
B. Maintaining satisfactory utilization rates.
C. Maintaining two or more certified Site Security Managers at all
times.
D. Returning equipment in a proper and timely manner.
2. The Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness selected Sector Charleston for its outstanding performance in support of the DEERS/RAPIDS program during the period of 1 Oct 2012 through 30 Sep 2013. Sector Charleston received 100 points in the rating evaluation and was the only site to receive 100 points in the Coast Guard site ranking. Their superior service to all active duty, reserve, retired members, civilians, contractors, and eligible beneficiaries while maintaining exceptionally low CAC failure rates, workstation utilization and overall customer satisfaction reflects great credit upon the U.S. Coast Guard and its continuing partnership with the Department of Defense. Further, the dedication to reduce fraud and abuse while producing Uniformed Services Identification Cards by Sector Charleston is highly commendable.
3. Congratulations to Sector Charleston, Semper Paratus.
