The system will pay the $400 Officer Uniform Allowance to USCG officers and USCGR officers on long term active duty promoted from enlisted to officer via the Board (and APOM) process. The system will NOT pay the $200 Additional Officer Uniform Allowance to reserve officers who quality for it. The SPO will need to submit an Action Request to pay the $200 Additional Officer Uniform Allowance if the reserve officer is eligible for it under section 3.K.3, CG Pay Manual.
The system will not pay the $400 Officer Uniform Allowance to USCGR officers who are not on active duty. That's because these officers do not become entitled until they complete a certain quota of drill or active duty as detailed in section 3.K.2, CG Pay Manual.
